in various packages for the domestic market in North America. Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel
are available to ride in, along with extras such as Troublesome Trucks, Brake Van,
Sound system, track and smoke system.
Our Thomas & Friends are high end products, hand built by Roll Models (RMI) for the
North American market. RMI
is based in Fresno, CA and is experienced in developing,
building and shipping miniature and narrow gauge locomotives around the world.

Thomas & Friends Miniature Ride-On Information
Rolling Stock
Thomas is 60" long x 29" high x 23" wide (152.4cm long x 73.7cm high x 58.4cm wide)
Annie and Clarabel are 72" long x 29" high x 23" wide (182.9cm long x 73.7cm high x 58.4cm wide)
Power supply
Thomas is battery powered by four fully sealed 12 volt 50 amp an hour each deep cycle semi-traction recharge in eight hours, runs for over four hours on level track
Track requirements
Land must be reasonably flat with a minimum area of 60 x 60 feet. Thomas will climb a 2% gradient.
Sound and smoke system
The sound system will be a custom digital sound synchronized to the speed of Thomas’ wheels.
We are using a German built smoke system which runs off 12 volts This runs on special high persistence smoke fluid which is
odorless.
Maintenance options
Consists of a visit once a year to check all track work and service rolling stock - P.O.A.
The technical bit!
Thomas has two 24 volt electric motors each are quad brush high torque 500 watts giving Thomas 1½ horse power
The motors are controlled by a 160 amp state of the art digital power controller, with regenerative braking high and low speed settings (adult and child settings)
Independent fail safe automatic parking brake. The drive is delivered through a 90 degree industrial worm gear box to Thomas’ three independently sprung axles.
